I want to upgrade Bodhi linux from version 1.4.0 to the newest version, it is possible?
I read the section "Upgrade Bodhi" and I used sudo apt-get dist-upgrade but nothing happens. someone can help please. Thanks.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to Bodhi Linux

Not possible, dist-upgrade does NOT upgrade the base distribution, that is probably mentioned 100 times in every doc page.
You need a full new install.

But personally ill stick to 1.3 till the hell freezes....
