The md5sum for the download might match, but there can always be a missing bit caused by burning to CD or making an usb-image.
Which version do you use? I would like to try it myself.
PS: Splitted this from the topic in feedback to have better respons.

Both versions have username bodhi (lowercase characters) and an empty password. They boot up from the live-CD or USB with a screen where your best option is the top line "Live". If done right they skip the login and after a while just show you the screen where you can choose the profile to use (desktop, laptop and so on) and after that the screen to choose your theme. After clicking OK you will get the wonderful bodhi desktop to use.
After installation the username will have changed to your chosen username with your own password. During the installation you must pay attention to where you put your username as that might be a little confusing. The top line in this slide is free to give in a name that you don't need to remember, but most people choose their first name or family name. The next line asks for a computername that it will use in network conditions. Next it will ask for your username. This you should note down as you use it to login. Then there are lines for your password (twice). Remember that carefully, you will need it often.
Without knowing more this is all I can tell you, hope it helps.
You might provide us with the specs of your computer. Knowing that could lead to a clue.
