Tutorials for Getting started with Python and Elementary

The formatting on the blog site isn't ideal for copying and pasting code. I'd recommend copying sample code from the GitHub sources I link at the end of every example for purposes of running it yourself.

Running...

Bodhi 4.2.0 64bit on a Lenovo 110s

Bodhi 4.1.0 Legacy on a Dell Latitude D505
Damn Small 4.4.10 on an old Compaq Armada 1590DT (48MB memory and 3GB harddisk and still usable for administration tasks)
A couple of Raspberry Pi 's,

Arduino' s

and MSX 1 and 2 computers

Finally have some time to be writing again. My goal is to write at least two of these a month until I cover most of the widgets elementary has to offer.

EDIT: Asaf.h - missed your post. To run .py files you run python <filename>. Fair warning - these tutorials assume you have experience working in python already and focus only on teaching Elementary, not python basics.
