Why bother with LibreOffice?

I think there's no more reason to include LibreOffice (with your "Apppack"), cuz they have/are putting it on the WEB! :

How about cooler stuff instead? :) Like Blender!

I don't have any particular issue with what's in the app packs, but the link you provided doesn't seem to line up with your comment?  That looks like an enterprise (i.e., centrally managed?) version of L.O., not a web version.

Many people prefer to have a stand alone desktop application. The goal is an AppPack that provides a standard set of desktop applications for novice users. An Office Suite is much better for this than 3d development software.

I will genuinely crying if LibreOffice omitted from AppPack. :)

 

I need those for linking with Zotero and Docear, and I have been dependent to Those Trio + ownCloud for my daily research management. :)

appack is all i sued to install bodhi - i love libreoffice.  using the word  facet daily.  love it - leave it!

Prefer LibreOffice over other office suites.


My computer - Dell XPS 8910, Bodhi Linux 4.1.0-64 (no other OS), Intel Core I7-6700 CPU @ 3.4 GHz, 16 GB ram, 1 TB HDD, Nvidia Gefore GTX 750 Ti with 2 GB, 27" display at 1920x1080 res.

Parents computer - Dell XPS 8700, Bodhi Linux 4.1.0-64 (no other OS), Intel Core I7-4790 CPU @ 3.6 GHz, 8 GB ram, 1 TB HDD, Nvidia Gefore GT 720 with 4 GB (1GB standard, 3 GB shared), 27" display at 1920x1080 res.

all my files are .odt and have been for years.
