Bodhi has always insisted on a "no ppa" policy to keep the system intact but more importantly to avoid the troubleshooting pitfalls that adding PPA's would bring. Placing a software request in the thread that has been provided might get more mileage.

In case you have a hard time choosing a shirt, pick the black one with the words "Bodhi Linux" on it.

tried clementine when i first started using bodhi but way too many issues and removed it and refused to use it again.  my take on it.

forget exactly what ppa's are but they can cause more issues than you would like.  i found out 1x .  Charles helped me on this but it was a long time ago.

been told it was not too desirable to use such apps.

clementine fits my desired usage model.

other than the android app no longer being compatible with 1.2 and me having no idea how to use symlinks to access SMB shares (shared from a windows box) I REALLY REALLY LIKE CLEMENTINE AND BODHI

in short, clementine is the music app i've always wanted for the computer that is hooked up to my speakers (its all it does, the sole reason i installed bodhi.)

bodhi runs really nice on a dualthread singlecore intel atom with 1GB of ram.

Excellent! and congratulations as well

I was about to suggest that you grab the deb package and install it; i was afraid to get this response, but you have managed the issue quite well on your own unintentionally. This is how most pet projects start out, by the way.

And how people suddenly become experts on special stuff. Just sayin'

Be sure to mark your other open thread as solved or answered

So now, have an awesome day B)
