i asked about this before and people said it should be possible - i.e. with win 10.

now it appears that there is truth to this.

sucks.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to Bodhi Linux

Another reason to hate Windows 10 and/or even MS. I surely do 100%.

Rather use Win XP Pro, like on my older PC.

Regardless of last post link stated not MS at fault. I still don't like MS.

i am concerned because i like thinkpads and buy them and instantly install linux without any windows.  and if that is becoming impossible - i am in trouble and the few linux laptop people have stuff that is just not to my liking or size, etc.  plus the cost.the refurbed thinkpads in general are great price and everything else.

Lucky for you the thinkpad line does not currently seem to be of concern. The articles I have read all talk about something more akin to a Chromebook style computer. Also, one of the articles I read suggested that Microsoft made Lenovo sign an agreement on how the laptops in question would be locked down.
