Windows has issues??? lol no!  Yeah sadly my day job is an app/web developer on Microsoft platform.   It has made for some interesting moments.  On the plus side they are trying to be more flexible with cross platform development... I have had limited experience on that end, but its a progress of sorts.  Its interesting to see them on this path given that a few years ago there attitude towards linux was just about deplorable.

I understand.  complex topic to discuss.

sound card issues re: pro recording environment,  dll errors, even some shabby apps...  macs just worked.  but lately - macs as a corporation has been terrible - apple i should have said.

Makes me nervous...what have they planned?  Hmmm....

...it may be cool if MS makes Linux more comfortable for people to transition to and experiment with, etc...however, I'm not thinking that is their plan...
