i searched a long time for an suitable linux distribution for my old laptop.

It works good with Windows XP and later also Windows 7 was running.

Of course not really for working... but it was working with all featuers of the laptop.

I also tried OpenSuse and Ubuntu several times, also Puppy Linux, Easy Peasy and so on...

With the big distibutions the laptop was slowly that working was not possible.

Lot's of the smaller distributions like Easy Peasy are "death"... no support or updateds.

I was so happy when i find Bodhi... After the first installation (i took not longer than the WinXP installation)

most things work and it's fast...

So i'm a beginner in linux and now i want to start "learning" or "getting deeper" into linux.

I think the project to set up this notebook 'till full working of all features should be a good beginning.

So i want to give you shortly the main technical data of my laptop, only for overview...

i think with the time we will check more and more to run deeper into setup better as now.

CPU: Intel Core Solo U1400 (1,2 GHz)

RAM: 1GB DDR2 (533 GHz)

VGA: Intel GMA 950

WLAN: Intel ® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/3945BG network connection

And now, my first problem:

after wake up from StandBy or changeing WLAN per on/off button Bodhi can't find the wlan adapter

Thanks for your help

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to Bodhi Linux

Was the wlan adapter working previously before this? Have a look at this, probably solves something I won't know: https://ubuntuforums...ad.php?t=820297
