Hello, thank you very much for all your help.

I have a new issue, I tried to install a printer hp office jet 4500 510g-m all in one but there is no driver found, where can i go and download more drivers or how do I fix this problem.

Again thank you very much for all your help and time.

try this, it worked for my usb hp

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --reinstall hplip
hp-setup -i
Select the USB option from the list, and follow the prompts.
It will then ask about a propriatry plugin, let it download this , agree to the license then follow the rest of the prompts.
You left everything to default m for name of print queue, say y for the selected PPD being correct, put location to Home, and left additional information blank, then y to print a test page.

i may be wrong but i believe i was told that the driver that loads with bodhi is not the best - mine worked and then i had page layout printout issues.  went into synaptic and searched for hplip and installed that and so far it works.  i was also told that sometimes an update/upgrade could break the situation.  i had issues on all laptops at the same time and installing the hplip seemed to rectify it.

doing it via terminal or synaptic should work.

good luck

for what it is worth   HP always says they do not support linux.  never a help.  also the people here did help me out all of the time.  there are some here i trust explicitly.  I have gotten 4 laptops to work beautifully with Bodhi with their help!  also - one does need to refresh the list in synaptic.  i find that i have to do it more recently than earlier on in my synaptic/linux experience for some reason.
