This might be a silly question (but I do not know it right now). Bodhi uses the Ubuntu base and this is good, considering the security features by default. Due to Bodhi's lean structure some of the apparmor settings of main Ubuntu (e.g. PDF-reader settings) are not active.

Should the average Joe like me, who has installed Okular for example, change something in the apparmor-settings (and when, how to do it?), or is it enough to enable the ufw-firewall next to a router plus careful browser habits?

I would be very pleased if someone will give me and others an answer. Thanks.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to Bodhi Linux

Hi there!
You only need apparmor if you are running a server. If not, you can remove it, that will slightly improve your boot times.

Regarding the firewall, just run

sudo ufw enable

Fine, thanks. This might explain, why some distros targeting desktop users have not enabled apparmor by default. Causes always some talk about.
