Newbie cursor request

Best Answer The waiter, 10 September 2017 - 07:26 AM

Hello and welcome here

You can do that very easily:

Menu-Settings-Settings_Panel-Input tab-Mouse (or just press ALT Esc and start typing "mouse")

The window will appear and you can set up your mouse size

Hi folks.  I'm liking what i see so far with this distro.  Minor request: I tried doing searches, and read the FAQ, but i didn't find how i can enlarge the cursor size (got a big screen but a tiny arrow).  I also used Synaptic PM to get some cursors but that didn't increase the size much at all.  Any hints?  Thanx.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to Bodhi Linux

Many thanks, Stefan -- a 100 pixel mouse is quite nicer on my screen.

Such a simple adjustment to improve Bodhiuseability (new vocabulary word).

Maybe I'm on my way to total enlightenment....

Hello again

One more info: I have noticed the mouse size changes to default in GTK applications like Firefox. You probably won't like this fact. The solution is also very easy

Look up this file in your home folder (/.config/gtk-3.0/) and change the value to the most suitable for your needs:

gtk-cursor-theme-size=50

I appreciate the suggestion, but i wasn't planning to use Firefox.  Although i heard somewhere that Midori was being discontinued.  Any truth in that rumor?

Also, i may try a browser like Palemoon which is based on Firefox.  Any derivative of FF would have the same problem, right?

I have installed Bodhi on two desktops, and so far i want to become a "regular customer".  The concept is awakened.

Thanks again.

(PS, i incorrectly marked this post as "best answer" and now i don't know how to remove that status indicator)
