so a report on my new vintage is due - i guess....
i fermented 2 batches and with the overflow of the first batch i ended up creating a new 3rd batch. all 3 are the best so far re: grapes i grew and wine i made - all using a nice french oak. the one is very cherry and berry and subtle caramel and touch of spice or licorice too. 2nd is quite pinot noirish with he cherry, berry and caramel and spice - from the french oak. the 3rd just sampled and again nice pinot =-like taste - smooth and great mouthfeel. subtle other characteristics. sorry i have a whole page of comments on the 3 wines.
1. Mithrandir Red 2. Fangorn Red 3. Prancing Pony Red
all of the vines have been rough pruned and will be highly fine pruned within the next 2 weeks.
not a lot of bottles but the Quality is very nice indeed!
