i installed bodhi on an alienware and i think it had memory issues and after that was fixed none of my icons are showing up. i right clicked on the shelf and went to icon properties and found that the icon path name was just the name of the app and no ACTUAL path.I don't know how this happened but it's not just in the shelf it is also under "right click applications" and "right click places" so most all icons are gone.

I had the missing icons problem once myself. In my case it was the icon cache corrupted. Try deleting everything in the folder ~ /.cache/efreet and restart enlightenment. note .cache is a hidden folder in your home directory. Hope that helps :)

That is normal. It uses the icon in the current gtk or e17 icon theme for the app ;)

The problem was cause by enlightenment crashing and the icon cache was corrupted by the crash, probably seg faulted during a disk write or something like that ... just a semi educated guess.

As for all of them showing up, that should work. Maybe you could try to reboot. If that fails delete the cache again and reboot.

Well I would try unloading the places module and latter reloading it. If that fails you could try changing the icon theme in enlightenment,
it is in the main menu under settings --> Look.

Btw I usually don't give up easily, lol.
