I am pretty sure that many of Bodhi users are already highly skilled. And this contribution means nothing to them. However, all time MS user like me might have struggled a bit when they are trying to install other language fonts and input.

This is how to use ibus not other method.

Once you install bodhi,

1. Setting - All - System - Language Support

if asked installing, all yes.

at language tab - install / remove language

choose korean (or whatever language you want) and click on the options you want. (like input methods and extra fonts).

2. (this is for korean only. please check with your language) go to LXTerminal and

type this command: sudo apt-get install ttf-unfonts-core (you might have to put your password)

3. setting - all - system -ibus preferences (go through some clicks) - input method tab - select an input method - Korean (or others) - add - apply

*. here on general tab you can also change how to toggle eng/kor (or others)

4. setting - all - language - input method setting- ibus - apply

you might want to reboot your system in order to check ibus daemon loads up at start. When it's properly loaded, you can see ibus icon (keyboard looing) on taskbar.

enjoy read/write korean (or others)
