Proud to announce our first partner for ARM hardware - Genesi USA.

Feel free to check them out, maybe buy some of their stuff (they have some new boards coming out within the next month). Bodhi should be up and rolling on them by the end of the year.

It means they are sending us some free hardware to make sure Bodhi runs properly on it and so we can provide support for the devices. Maybe someday they might ship Bodhi by default we if they like what they see :)

Well, the prices are low enough. Not sure what the shipping would be to the UK though.

All that's between me and laying down the money for these is 1080p High Profile playback, flash, Bodhi, and a bit bigger battery +HDMI on the netbook. I see so much potential but it's nothing without the software. Can't wait though to hear about you guys getting Bodhi working on them though.

I don't suppose they'd send you one of those Open Client devices, eh? I'd love to find out how well it handles h.264 1080p video with XBMC... it could make a great front end for an HTPC if it's able to play that back.... :)

That's a major step, Jeff. I'll commit to buying their hardware as soon as you're happy with Bodhi on it.
Well done!

Back in the day, Genesi folk were within $inches$ of owning the rights to the Amiga.
Sadly, the bidding and subsequent deals went to fools and then hucksters.

There is no quit, in Genesi, but business is business, so lawyer up.
I look forward to using the carefully cultivated fruit of this joint venture.

(The Amiga is alive and kicking, with new but expensive motherboards,
the operating system now freed from the clutches of idiots, and being
updated, and coded for both new hardware, and the 'ancient but beloved' 68K models.)
