Hi guys... I have 2 lite questions that are E related so I thought I would put them both in one post to save posting space.

I love the minimal desktop and plan to keep it clean but there are times when I am working on some multi level project and I like the convenience of having some file icons on the desktop. Is there a setting that switches desktop icons to visible? The other possibility would be to put some links to files in a shelf of something but I think it would be easier to just have them in the desktop folder and make them visible when needed. Any ideas?

The other question: Where can I find the files that would allow me to edit the menu list in Settings? For instance, there are 2 links under Settings that are Wallpaper and Wallpaper2. I don't need both. I am kind of interested in the actual location of that menu list or script so I can play with it. I may learn something, who knows.

Thanks!!!

1) Settings-->Settings Panel-->Files (across the top) -->File Manager (in the list) ... should get you a Fileman Settings window. In that window, across the top, look for Behavior tab. In that tab there is a Show Desktop Icons checkbox ;)

2) Easiest way to remove one of those would be to unload the corresponding module:

Settings-->Modules-->Settings Tab (across the top). Scroll that list down and you should find Wallper & Wallpaper 2 modules ... unload the one you don't want.

1) The File Manager is not in my list under Setting->Settings Panel-->Files and therefore no Flieman... only File Icons and Places. Neither have any behavior setting or other setting that is applicable.

2) Thanks... Wallpaper2 is out!

I believe you need to load the EFM (Enlightenment file manager). Can be buggy at times, but should work just fine for only desktop icons. Load the modules from the module settings under files

Ahh, so seems the File Manager module is not loaded then....not much of a problem because without it, you'll get no desktop icons :)
