I haven't come upon this before so I was wondering if it's a bug or a setting I'm not used to.

I cannot cut and paste a file from the desktop to a partition I use for data BUT I can drag it there. As a matter of fact, I just tried to cut and paste it from the desktop to my home folder and it won't do it... but it will drag. The Paste button is grayed out as if it's a permissions thing but the permissions are correct.

A bug? or something I don't know.... yet.

thanks

Note the word "beta" next to the EFM file manager when you loaded the module. There is a reason it is not loaded by default.

@cornflake:
Are you trying to move the file from within EFM? Is the file in your /home/<username>/Desktop folder?

Is the target partition mounted as a drive, visible in Nautilus? Is it visible in EFM?

A screenshot would help us understand what you are trying to do.

The partition is visible in both EFM and Nautilus. The file in question is in my Desktop folder.

I just tried to cut/paste within EFM (Desktop Folder to EFM) and it works just fine. BUT It does not work when I cut/paste from EFM (Desktop folder) to Nautilus. EFM to Nautilus is what I was doing before. It seems the problem is crossing between EFM and Nautilus.

Jeff, thanks and I know it's Beta. 'Just trying to help debug if that's what this is.
