What about adding Conky gallery? There is forum topic, which is quite a long time dead. But wiki...
It could consist of Screenshot and conky files for download plus added information what it should show (picture is one, but sensors not always match).
They should by with similar configuration (mainly placing, for example align tr (placing would always by in top right side of screen) and same file location (some conkies uses picture, and it needs directory path, although this is easily fixed, when you know what you are doing), because it would by easier for new Linux users to set up conkies and change them using the same guide. I am even wiling to write it or/and create a video if it would by more then a simple entry in a wiki, how to set up conky, how to run it on startup, and how to swap conkies fast.

For example all my conkies are placed /etc/conky
And are started by using start.sh which has a launcher created in Main menu->Accessories->Conky

So if new conky would by downloaded, and replaced in same directory (because would have same name and path), launcher would work.

What do you think about it?

There was a long time ago, when I searched even distribution which had conky at startup by default (not the brightest idea, but what you do when you just started to use linux) that's how I find Sabayon Linux, I think Jeff would by against conky in disk, base only, so, what about some major category in Bodhi art?

PS: Yes I know there is lots of websites with conky and so on, but Conky on Bodhi requires some extra care to make it transparent.

Some extra if this could by realized, that conkie should by tested (one bad working conky, might prevent from looking other ones, however conky is not needy in hardware, but requires different entries for reading it) and screenshot would by added only on one colored background, that no wallpaper would by visible, this would improve visibility of conky (look at first conky picture bellow, the one with clock and bodhi logo...)

How it could look:
I have putted it in there, because: lxdm and plymouth discussion is dead, desktop of the week could by moved a bit higher.

The page itself... gimp...starter level :)

Now we have "Share your Desktop". Why not to add "Share you conky configuration" :D Yes, sound stupid, need other name, but still get the idea... Lots of users view "Share your Desktop", but even more I guess Google the internet for conky configurations. This topic should have also screenshot of conky, not a whole desktop plus conky configuration text in "code snippet".
I doubt we need other event, Bodhi hardly copes with one. But just for fun, why not?

I have played around with conkies almost a year, I know how they work, lua is other think, but I am on them too. New topic might attract some new users.

Extra: Hava a nice day :D

I agree to adding Conky section to art theme, maybe could be some config "Bodhi-branded", like the bodhi clock showed in your post, Vaido! ;)

IMHO, I would add another proposal: E17 theme page.
In my opinion could be better a shot more similar to get-e.org.
The entire screenshot show in a way, in my opinion, not very clear the main component of the E17 theme: shelves and border.
So whenyou want to select a theme, you have to click on every link and is not so simple, in my opinion.
What about a restyling of E17 Page?
It is huge and not easy to search theme...
And some themes has wrong Information, like Sunshine theme, titled with 7 .
Maybewith "Database" maintenance, like the App center, could be easier to manage new themes ;)

I agree, that screenshot of themes should show more, or even all gadget shelf's, how they look when theme is applied.
Now art page looks, well I guess web2 frendly, you can reach all in 2 clicks. But when you enter into section, there is a mess, where it is hard to find what you want.
Not the nicest...but still idea:

And pages inside, really could look like Duma said similar to get-e.org but with maybe seperator? orange line would do the trick I guess

Maybe is a little more complicated because we have to abandon the wiki style... isn't it?

Sounds like a good idea for the conky section, I'm all for rearranging things for the better.

Go ahead and register an account on the Art Wiki Vaidotas and PM me with it's user name and I'll give you permission to edit pages.

Just make sure to OK it with the web team before making major layout changes there :)

Firstly I will try to create only conky page as shown in first 2 pictures, nothing more. Just for a start.

Then maybe (if you agree) I will upload plymouth themes (last two from my page)

Weird.. created wiki account got password to email, changed password. After 1hour tried to login, wrong password..
Tried to get new password, account does not exists...
Created new one. With same username...

You should feel free to edit the art wiki if you think you can improve it. Please do keep in mind that it should be editable by others too, so don't use (too much) html and try to stick to the wiki syntax.

Oh, and if you want to edit the look of the wiki, that is, the "insides" of the wiki, not the general style, please discuss this with Micah, as he is the webteam's "art wiki guy".

I am going only for conky now in art section. Later conky documentation.
So I need only ~4links in a page of Art. Now I am trying to find out how to make page like this
Which has it separated with orange line. Tried to find it out by editing it, no success, it is show as single page, witch has no extra code as far as I see.
Conky page has 1 page, but how to do it similar like icon page? I can change it, but it will by in same page, same section as that conky config?

It'll show up automatically.

Removed one category of conkies, moved them to Huge, which maybe should by renamed to Bigger.
Is there ability to delete files which are no more needed? (I guess there are, but I do not have permission for that). Once I hurried up a bit, and now there are some unneeded files in there. Now I test them multiple times, on laptop, on virtual-box, and Wm-ware on desktop PC.

3 files which can by deleted are:
conky_jorge.tar.gz (2011/12/13 15:43 13.7 KB)
conky_jorge.tar2.gz (2011/12/13 16:55 13.7 KB)
conky_jorge2.tar.gz (2011/12/13 16:56 13.7 KB)

They are small, but still.

So far there are these conkies:

Added 3 Plymouth's to art wiki section:
Art Wiki

It would by nice that somebody could make looping .gif from them, because they are static image (not looping animation as they are when applied) ,now they look terrible in gallery.
