Okra,

I just checked if the problem was still there after the latest update. It still is. Since the desktop icon is not available yet I started from terminal ephoto. I browsed to my sdhc card (FAT formatted) and tried to display a directory with 34 pictures (.jpg, around 2 MB each). The program could not display the thumbs. In system monitor I could see that ethumbd was using 100% CPU. So, I don't know if it has something to do with the use of a memory card, FAT format, too little memory in my setup (512MB) or something else but any help is welcome. I prefer to use a dedicated E-program but it should be usable.

Dick

I just plugged in my phone, mounted the sd card, browsed to it, and viewed photos with no problem.

What image type are they? PNG JPEG?(Scratch that. I see where you said JPEG now)

Some extra information from the Terminal when running ephoto. Maybe it helps?

Is anyone using Claws 3.8? I'd like to switch from Thunderbird (new mail notification doesn't work right?) but I would prefer using IMAP. 3.7.4, the current version in the AppCenter doesn't seem to support it.

Funny you should ask - I just upgraded to claws-3.8.0 last night by using the Ubuntu ppa. So far, no problems.

As a side note, I don't understand why more people don't use this great email client.

cheers

As Ubuntu PPAs are not recommend for Bodhi users could you please post links in the software request thread to the packages from that PPA that worked with the Bodhi base so I can get them built up and added into our repo so all users can have the latest version?

Please see here for an older discussion about Claws Mail and GTK3 support.
If we update, all plugins do not work anymore. So, my advice: do not update!

Thus my reason for not doing a Software request - it just seemed like too big of a pain to update the package plus all the plugins when I know that there are only a few of us using Claws.

Well...there are the two of us... :D
I think we should just wait until GTK3 is included in Bodhi (probably 2.0).
