Hello guys!

Most of you have probably forgotten this, but a while ago I set out to create a "fully-featured", "out of the box" alternative installer for Bodhi Linux.

And here it is (of course, with an md5sum)... The first release of Bloathi Linux. Take note though, this is NOT a fork, spin-off, break-away or anything of the like, from Bodhi Linux. It is merely an alternative installation media and/or LiveDVD for those of you who have been complaining about Bodhi needing more default applications, etc.

Default Applications in this release:

I won't be using this myself either, other than in some VMs to make sure stuff works.

One more week (last exam), and I am going to format my laptop, but will install it from original Bodhi CD.

Good Job Timmy, hope that this version could be useful to make Bodhi more user-friendly for all of the guys that think that minimalism is not good.

Why firefox? why not chromium?

I _knew_ this was gonna happen!

Timmy is Master and Commander regarding this release, so he decided on Firefox. I agree, we should shoot him for it.

snowdimon, one of the main reasons is that I don't use any of Googles services. And I knoe that Firefox is a safe, fast and stable browser.
Worried about not having the fastest browser? Wait a week until they release a new technology and Firefox will be fastest again, for like a week, until some other browser is faster, and everyone will want that.

But yeah, I might include Chromium and Opera for the next release... Any other good browsers out there?

there is alway one or more persons not happy : and so what ??
but, please before I use your release, how about bluetooth and pulse audio ?

There will always be differences of opinion regarding choice of software. Thats one of the reasons Bodhi shines... we offer the user the ability to select their own software after install, and we do not provide anything more than the tools you need to do so.

Bloathi is meant for the user that doesnt want to go through the hassle of finding and installing software themselves. It gives you a fully stocked Bodhi with all kinds of software for all kinds of computer tasks.

Like I said, you can't please everyone when you decide on one particular piece of software for any given task, as we all have personal tastes on it.

Oh snap, didn't think about that. They are not installed by default, no. It should just be a matter of

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install bluez pulseaudio

though.

Then load the Bluetooth module under Main Menu > Settings > Modules.

PulseAudio I don't know about, since I've never used it myself.
