For those of you who are interested, the lead developer of Enlightenment is giving a talk about the EFLs on FOSDEM 2012.

Not really Bodhi news, but at least Bodhi related. :)

Rasterman's talk on EFL and Enlightenment is now online:

EFL - The toolkit for up and coming mobile devices

Even though the emphasis is on the mobile application of EFL there is a lot of interesting information about Enlightenment, EFL and how the project is going.

Rasterman addresses the question of "perpetual beta" and dismisses the problem by saying their SVN is more stable than most open source stable releases. But a rolling release model like this faces the problem of publicity - with no regular release news to give out, the project has to promote itself in some other way.

Does Enlightenment have any strategy concerning this? I'm certainly not seeing a regular PR effort from Enlightenment currently. Jeff updating the Google+ page is not enough. More PR persons are needed to produce press releases for news sites.

Yep. I say this to people all the time :).

As for PR, yes they do need a bit more - I've discussed this a bit with Raster, but I really don't have time to take on any more at the moment due to time restraints.

I hope you will find an assistant PR manager, maybe try to recruit one through Google+ or whichever is easiest/most impact?
