So, I added a tag plugin to the Art wiki.

To use them add the following to the page:

Quote

{{tag>tag1 tag2 tag3}}

Where tag1 tag2 tag3 are the actual tags. So, for a theme page add (for example)

Quote

{{tag>Theme Purple Black}}

This will automatically list this page under the tags Theme, Purple and Black. Be sure to use the same tags all over the Art wiki (Capitalized) or you'll end up with multiple tags for one item (i.e. Black and black).

More information about the plugin's usage can be found here.

Good luck! :)

Did not get "lots" of responses, so simply will add screenshots with default settings, default wallpaper and other all defaults from these profiles:
  • Laptop
  • Tablet
Simple reason is that, they are closest to profiles which user might use. For example I load Laptop profile, and make a copy of it and adjust to my taste, same goes to desktop, but desktop is almost the same as laptop. Tablet profile is other things, but which maybe should by showed. Profiles: Compositing, Fancy, Tiling might by nice, but nice part already was shown in theme small picture.

Keep in mind it will by done with+updates+all themes+all gtk+all icons

Only change will be settings to match gtk/icons if they will work, and mostly it won't by visible. Because main menu and border were already shown, so there will by no opened windows.

PS: even tabled profile (and other two) will by done on Laptop 15.6 screen.

PSS: still waiting for list of tags for themes

PSSS: will rename themes to Angelic, Passion for nicer view

PSSSS: all theme page will by done after all is complete.

Tag for AL-Luxe: Gold

I don't think it should have the color Orange tag.

I know these pages are still improving, but I think they are already better than what we currently have. Any opposition to putting these live?

First tries to start finishing, and problems:

Tags are not so friendly:
  • they eat up a whole line, so it must by moved down, if I add word Tags, they still go one line bellow. If I add them to original place, whole text is moved down, bellow picture
  • It creates page (good part), no multiple entries, for same tag, on different place, but same page (very good), but theme page now must by redone, again
    • tags ruins logic, clicking black, will lead you in to red themeS page (not straight in to theme, which contain that color)
    • so now we must make a choice:

Remake whole theme page so Instead of:
Red Themes List of all red themes
Blue Themes List of all blue themes
Green Themes List of all green themes
Black Themes List of all black themes

That it would by:
Red Themes
Page link to other page for A-Bodhi-Passion->>> info and links ONLY for this theme

Page link to other page for A-Red-Night-Bodhi->>> info and links ONLY for this theme

....and so on

Then tags would make sense, BUT this will result in much more clicking for thous who do not use tags. Same crap also then should by applied to GTK, Icons and other, if we want that tags would by useful. I am getting tired of this solo work.

UNLESS: tag system could by altered to scroll down automatically. For example clicking tag "red" would bring up page, with HEADLINES (not a whole single page) in which there is that tag, because now themes list, are separated with theme name, which is in headline.

Problem with screenshots:
Desktop and laptop profiles looks to similar
Tabled profile is unique, but that top shelf (indicator) is always white, so almost only change between themes would by desktop wallpaper and gadgets.
Waiting for ideas... Maybe I should drop idea of default profiles and simply start an event, for users, to post they screenshot with particular themes, without any rules.

Better for two things:
links do work
screenshot does show the difference between themes

I'm sorry if tag make this work useless and we have to remake all the page (and use a lots of click to see a theme).
If TAG could link to headlines, This will solve everything... any mods know if this is possible?

this would solve everything, and not only in new theme page, but also in old gtk/icons pages

Other idea:
to go back to old style (at-least similar), removing all hard work done already. One page with ALL theme IMAGES only (no install links, no information) clicking image would bring you to page with theme, and all information and links to install.
This would result in no need to re-do tag system, and also could by applied to gtk and icon pages.
BUT would not look as good as new E17 page and would need to re-do all

New Page is done, I mean redone from new:
  • Tags, which are usefull
  • All themes in one page (and at same time in separate)
  • Working links
  • 0 dublication

Moved it to top of Art section, created section "outdated links" and moved old one E17 gallery to there

To by done:
Screenshots of full desktop themes post entries there

Deleted old one, which was made also by me.

I love this page, I like it!
Question for admin/mods:
- packaging of GTK themes?
- could be possible to display list of tagged page the image of the themes?

This page, IMHO, should be have thumbnails / screenshot with the themes. I don't know if is possible with Wiki style.

Other things.
Can I have the permission to edit art wiki? MaybeI could add some tags like "Swar GTK" for all Lost's theme, Gold for some themes, Ambiance for Ambient theme, ...

IMO your previous set-up was nicer than what happens now. This page with all themes together as pictures is terrific and you should keep it. But the tagging is not working nice. I would expect when I hit a tag i would be presented with a page with all the themes that have that tag, but not only a list of themes where I can click through to one theme at a time. No, I would have expected the pictures and descriptions as I have seen linked to in previous posts a few days ago (can't go there now anymore).
Not sure, but maybe the tagging plug-in can be configured a bit different? So instead of presenting a pagelist it could present a page with all theme-pictures ( a bit larger ) having that tag?

Charles.

Previous set-up caused duplication and made tags useless, although me too liked it more, but I am not going to re-do all again, this already has eaten a lot of my time... Tried to do best what I could. For images in tag page ask for moderators, I have already asked some changes for it (remove some unneeded information, and adding splitting, to know where is theme, where is gtk, now they all are thrown in to same place), for tags, but seems only angered someone...
My work is done for now

As always ask for admins, try in IRC, or simply write them down here.
But I doubt that such fancy tags like "Swar GTK" will make something useful, because it does not tell a thing.
Themes already have links to recommended GTK, you have mentioned that there is possibility to make E17 theme and GTK file in to 1 installation file, this would by better.
PS: tags must by added manually, and tag list also, making too much tags might cause more confusion then none, but it is all up to you to decide

E17 page is maybe finished, but still there are some problems with tags, if we want to make them work all over art section, and not to make too many of tags.

I'm thinking that moving the "Categories" section to beneath the "Enlightenment themes with information" will both look better and be more touch friendly.

Just my two cents. :)
