Before making a post in this part of the forum it is advisable to search for similar problems already being solved. This can be done via the "Search..."-box in the top right corner of the page, pretty close to your account information. If you don't manage to find a solution to the problem on the forums, search the web.

Sorry about bumping an old post but I searched for the topic of 'disappearing icons' and 'invisible icons' with zero results and was unable to find a specific solution on the internet. This link at LinuxQuestion[dot]Org was related but I don't think it applied to Bodhi.

anyway
I have an issue with icons. For what ever reason when I boot into Bodhi I find several missing icons on my IBar. The programs themselves are there just the icons are gone. My work around was to right click on the programs location on the IBar and at the top there is a icon widget from the properties I go to icon and direct it to the icons location at /usr/share/icons/gnome/ and that seems to keep them anchored. I guess this problem is trivial but it bugged me none the less.

My question is... Is it a known bug? Was there something inside normal settings to correct this?

Thank you

Most likely your icon cache is corrupt. I have answered this sort of question several times on Bodhi forums. Try the advice there.

good luck

Your solution worked for me. Thanks.
I can remember this problem occurred to me right after I ran out of free space on my /home drive.

I am glad it worked for you. Yes running out of hard drive space will cause all kinds of issues. Hope you freed some space repartitioned or something B)

Anyway, the original poster never posted back whether this worked for them. I would like to mark this thread as solved But suppose I will leave it for now.
