My life is fairly crazy between now and the end of my semester in 3 weeks. Updates will be slow during this time. Keep posting requests and I will get to them eventually.

Recoll

Website: http://www.lesbonscomptes.com/recoll/

Download: http://www.lesbonsco...l/download.html

(it is available in the Ubuntu repos pre-packaged as well as downloadable as a .deb from their website)

This program is a desktop-search application that searches your documents, filenames, etc.. It's not dissimilar from Spotlight on Apple (though I'm not sure if it has a tray icon like Spotlight).

Also, I'd suggest it be added to Nikhila, as there's nothing in Nikhila which currently provides this functionality. :)

I know there's a bunch of rxvt-unicode(urxvt for short) in synaptic right now, but Oneiric has urxvt with 256 color support.

(Well this guy gave the steps to apply the 256 color patch.)

Please could we have a patched urxvt in there like Oneiric has?
Check out e17 screenies and art at my page.

I would like to request either NoteCase Pro or Cherrytree (preferably both) I used to use Basket Notepads but I wouldn't expect anyone to recode it for gtk+ (requires about 100 libraries if you don't have any qt/kde apps installed). I think cherrytree is better anyway and is only gtk, notecase menus don't make me as happy, but to be honest i haven't tested them out a lot. So to conclude SOME hierarchical notetaker app.

CherryTree

cherrytree_0.25.4-1_all.deb

http://gtk-apps.org/...?content=113350
http://www.giuspen.com/cherrytree/

http://www.giuspen.c...e-0.25.4.tar.gz

don't know how to locate ubuntu sourcecode links, but I just discovered cherrytree is in synaptic. i ran gdebi to install it from deb file.

NoteCase Pro

3.6.3

http://virtual-sky.com/

no LTS versions currently available on web page

source code not available on web page ?! source link only has patches or modules or something

don't know how to locate ubuntu sourcecode links, but I just discovered notecase is in synaptic v 1.9.8-0ubuntu3

bummer that notecase requires payment to join/split nodes and drag and drop tree nodes to reorganize (among many other features which i don't use)

I dug through here last night and added all the request software to the repo that provided debian links/sources. Software that did not provide these takes up a good deal of time to create custom packaging script for and that development time is now focused towards getting Bodhi 2.0.0 live.

Fair enough, thank you. Can't wait for Bodhi 2.

I got an e-mail saying that the spideroak package in the reps is outdated and that:

Software Name = Gambas3
Requested Version Number 3.1.1

Link to Software Homepage http://gambas.source...et/en/main.html

Link to Source Code http://sourceforge.n...ar.bz2/download

Link to Debian Package Source Code http://gambasdoc.org...all/debian?view
or maybe http://gambasdoc.org...all/ubuntu?view

Link to required system libraries http://gambasdoc.org...e/3.1.1?view

P.S. - Gambas2 version 2.24.0 is the last version of Gambas 2.
Future upgrades of Gambas will be Gambas3 updates.
It would nice to keep Gambas2 on our repositories as well-
...as many Gambas2 applications do not work on Gambas3.

Can we get the new oxygen-icon-theme into the repo? From what I see in the Bodhi Repo it's just pulled directly from the Ubuntu repository and it's a requirement for Calligra.

Software: Oxygen Icon Theme

Version: 4.8.2-0ubuntu1

Debian Link: http://packages.ubun...-theme/download

Source Link: http://archive.ubunt...8.2.orig.tar.xz

Home Page: http://www.oxygen-icons.org/

Jeff

What's your approach to adding to the repos the software that includes the debian package link? I thought you still preferred building from source and compiling your own package. Do you download the debian, extract it, update the name to bodhi instead of ubuntu, and then repackage as a new debian? Just wondering so I don't spend time making software that is already in debian format if that's not desired by you. Thanks

Edit: Also what do you think about this, I'm willing to keep it updated if it seems functional. https://docs.google....RE9yMDdzWjg1VWc

Every package is a bit different. Not really a 100% set process I have.

can you toss it into the repos when you get a chance?

I am a full Bodhi Linux convert, and I am proud to be.

My goal is to bring more people to Bodhi, and in turn learn how to help improve the OS as a whole.

I love the Bodhi community, you guys are great and very inspirational.

Guitarix would be cool to have in the repo. It's the best guitar amp sim for linux that I've seen.

This is the home-page.

http://guitarix.sour...ge=3&p_type=two

This should let you dl the lucid .deb.

http://ppa.launchpad...ain/g/guitarix/

I tried to install this myself, but got some error about a dependency (libjack0) which was already installed when I checked. (I installed several audio programs before installing bodhi's audio production bundle, so I have a bit of a mess in some places, dependency-wise.)
