This bug is fairly easy to experience so I'd be surprised if it's never been reported before.
If I really am the first person to report it, then tell me and I'll add a lot more technical details to the description.
I log into Bodhi as selfuser. Under a different ID, say othruser, a directory has already been created, say othrsDir. Both the owner and group of othrsDir are othruser.
The file permissions on othrsDir are 744 (i.e., drwxr--r-- ). Note that execute permissions are missing for any ID that is not othruser, and also let me point out that
selfuser is not a member of group othruser. The directory has 8 files in it, files which selfuser also does not have full permission to access. The problem is:
If I ask PCManFM to navigate into that directory (which I lack sufficient authority to enter), I get an error dialog that reads: "Permission Denied". That's not too
bad, in fact it's appropriate. However, due to there being 8 files in directory othrsDir (as I mentioned), I get the error pop-up EIGHT TIMES. This is not good,
particularly because, before I knew the nature of this bug, I tried to go into a directory containing about 200 files and I had to reboot my system because
(tho I didn't fully realize why) I would have had to hit Enter 200 times. PCManFM should only give the error message once.
So is this a new bug report or has someone else experienced it?
Thanks for any input.
