after uninstalling an app, synapse, every icon in the panels I use (lxpanel, fbpanel) disappeared. How do I get them back?

Synapse is a launcher IIRC. So it would not surprise me if removing it took out some needed stuff with it. Are the enlightenment shelfs with launcher ans taskbar still working?

The shelves, launchers, taskbars, basically everything that has icons in enlightenment is ok. But in my openbox session, all my panels are without icons. It's not much of a big deal, but I might want to add this to my compilation (see my sig).

found the solution. Uninstalling some apps can cause lxappearance to reset somehow. In a terminal, enter the ff:
lxappearance then go to Other tab and tick show images in menus

then repeat the process with sudo.
