One question. When 2.0 is released, how exactly are we going to have to install it? Is there a need to wipe everything so we can make a clean install? Because that would mean that every single custom stuff I've done with my bodhi so far would be gone...

Whew I feel like I am answering this question 100 times a day - Yes Bodhi 2.0.0 will require a reinstall - no there should not be any issue copying over user data from 1.x.y release.

Maybe this calls for a FAQ regarding 2.0, there are several questions people seem to keep asking.
This one, how long 1.4 will be maintained, requesting software, release dates, etc.

If I were to install the alpha build of 2.0 would I just need to update my laptop when the official release is available or reinstall?

You should be able to just update via the package manager - there might be a few small things you'd have to manually change though.

I have had 2.0 alpha running for a day now....very nice... no real glitches yet
