Hi guys

Inspired but the 2.0 themes Vaidotas is working on (but not brave enough to test 2.0) I decided I'd like to get the bodhi branded conky rings on my destop.

I followed the conky guide here

I got the black square and then applied compositing to get the transparency working. Trouble is it's not animating, I just get the leaf in a circle (with date above)

At some point yesterday I noted a lua error in a terminal window but don't recall how I got that.

I installed the conky from the 1.40 standard repos which is 1.8 and says built with lua.

Can't help thinking I'm missing something really straightforward.

p.s. hang on, hang on, this file does not exist
/etc/conky/clock_rings.lua
It is not in the download????

Any suggestions please?

Ok, I got the lua rings file from here: http://gnome-look.or...?content=139024

Unless I am being extra stupid someone needs to check the files on the download link as this not in the archive?

As it turns out the animation looks a bit pixelated and clunky so I've removed it. Nevermind!

Roll on 2.0!

Are you talking about this clock:
If so, then I have re-uploaded it, for some reason there was really missing file.

Hi Vaidotas, yes that's the one. I tried the circle file you added to the download link but no improvement on the animation on my laptop. Nevermind.

p.s. I noticed the kill.sh script is now missing from the download!

Anyway, sorry to distract you from your excellent theme work!

On Theme is working Duma, not me :D
I know that kill.sh missing, that is nothing more then a command "killall conky"
But conky it self works here... the orange lines of time, has delay of ~5s before appearing.

Maybe try to open terminal in /etc/conky where all files should be placed, then type:
./start.sh

After 3s there should appear conky, and later orange lines of clock, if there will by any errors, it should by shown in terminal, like something is not found or not installed, keep in mind, that it always shows some extra text, not all of it are errors.

Do not know about conky version you are using, since I used
apt-get install conky
