Bodhi 0.1.3 Released 12/14/10

Bodhi 0.1.3 is released sporting an all new look (again). The following is the full change log:

  • Added apt-xapian-index so synaptic quick search works
  • Update /etc/default/grub so menu entries for Bodhi say Bodhi Linux instead of Ubuntu
  • Updated Default E17 theme to A-Nogal-Bodhi
  • Updated Icon set to use Faenza Icons
  • Using custom GTK theme
  • Updated Firefox persona to use the Smooth Brown
  • Removed compcache kernel module
  • Stripped extra packages from system (to reduce disc size)
  • Added driver for 6050 Images – for Intel Wireless WiFi Link 6250AGN Adapter
  • Fixed menu entries for software sources and synaptic
  • Linked users .xsession-errors to /dev/null
  • Upgraded Firefox to 4.0 Packages
  • Stripped Boot Menu Options to only Functional Ones
  • Re-themed Plymouth
  • Changed Boot Splash Image on CD
  • Changed Login Background
  • Updated EFL packages to beta 3

Thanks, Jeff! Just finished installing and currently running the updates and installing my favorite apps! The new look is awesome! Many thanks to you, as well as Agust for the fantastic design work. By the way, network manager detected my WiFi connection this time (I noticed you included the firmware I e-mailed you in this release) and is working perfectly. :D

Installed on an old 2.4 GHz P4 with 1 gig...Looks Nice!

I'll try to use this as my primary machine...

Thanks to your help and design skills, Bodhi 0.1.21 is installed on my main laptop. Can I do an upgrade to 0.1.3 or will I have to install each package to match? I once again have only occasional internet, so it will be a few weeks before I attempt it. The system works amazingly well; it is much nicer than Elive.

@hobo Most of the fixes in this release are cosmetic and package updates - so if you don't mind the black and green keep on using your current install and just upgrade your packages.

Thanks for the info; will do as you suggest. I do like the dark, green layout. I have really enjoyed your take on E17; I wish I had your skills.
