I have a list of packages that I need to transfer to 2 other computers, I have downloaded these bods:

abiword.bod
bodhi-vlc.bod
epdfview.bod
evince.bod
firefox.bod
flashplugin.bod
geany.bod
mirage.bod
xchat.bod
thunderbird.bod
spideroak_9945_i386.deb
unrar_1%3a4.0.3-1_i386.deb
zim_0.56_all.deb

I know i can install several deb packages in one go by using $ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Following on from a post that Bodhi 1.4 bods are being discontinued with the arival of the new 2- 12.04 I was wondering - how to install several bod files at the same time from one directory - with one command?

BOD files do not current support installing multiple of them at once.

If you are truly pressed for time you can manually extract the .BOD files and then install all the .debs they contain at the same time.

Thanks for that Jeff,

Not pressed for time, just lazy and hoped that it would be an easy way to install multiple packages.

Just had a quick look at the wiki and It takes very little time to extract them all, drop them all in one folder on a flash drive and they should all be updatable via apt-get. #

But i might just remake it into another bod - hmm, don't know about that its probably WAY above my ability, something to have a go at though :D

# Edit
Dont think they would update from single packages though as there's no input to /var/cache/apt :(
