Bodhi 2.0.0 is less than 24 hours out the gate and even with the vast Ubuntu and GetDeb repos at your disposal I am sure there are some pieces of software you find lacking in this latest release.

I have one final paper to write for school this weekend, but my plan is to dive into building packages/updates first thing on Monday.

Please post your software requests here, for best/fastest results please include:

  • Software Name
  • Requested Version Number
  • Link to Software Homepage
  • Link to Source Code
  • Link to Debian Package Source Code of requested version for the Ubuntu LTS base that the current Bodhi is built on (12.04 for 2.x.y)

To help keep track of things I will be removing posts requesting software once said software has been dealt with.

Super low priority, but I'll get to it next week for sure. Ecomorph is unstable and inconsistent across multiple systems, so we don't support it - but I will get it packaged.

Just thought, since its built on EFL, it might fit in nicely, especially on my pen-tablet (or on your ARM version.) Plus I've always wanted to try it.

This is an old package that used to be used by Ubuntu netbook edition. It is not current and does not work with today's EFLs

I would like to request LightSword alarm clock, a convenient app that lets you set alarms and attach a command (and sound) to wake you or remind you of an appointment. The command can be CLI as in mplayer and the reminder can be any text message you specify e.g. 'put on pants' . It follows gtk-themes/hints and could be a replacement for those that require more flexibility than the alarm module in e17 allows. In fact, it beats the module with a COUNTDOWN option, so you have enough time to leave the building before someone else cuts the red wire (or was it green?)

HOMEPAGE: http://distro.ibibli...rm/lsalarm.html

VERSION: 0.85

AUTHOR: Mike Farrell

DEB PACKAGE:

SOURCE TARBALL: http://distro.ibibli...m/lsalarm.html#

dearlord the links are not working except for the homepage itself. Puppy somehow has a pet for it. Will follow up soon; I may be the only one with the tarball intact...
Check out e17 screenies and art at my page.

It came from the Ubuntu App Showdown, and Peppermint OS already comes with this app pre-installed. GWOffice has been pretty good every time I tried it out. But this app is pretty good for those who don't want to download LibreOffice, Abiword, or GNUmeric... and still want to directly access and edit their Google Docs.

  • Software Name Connman
  • Requested Version Number 1.6
  • Link to Software Homepage http://connman.net/
  • Link to Source Code https://www.kernel.o...nman-1.6.tar.xz
  • Link to Debian Package Source Code of requested version for the Ubuntu LTS base that the current Bodhi is built on (12.04 for 2.x.y) there isn't one, that's the problem

Connman version 1.6 was released a week and a half ago... the version that packages with Ubuntu (and thus Bodhi) is 0.78... it appears to not be maintained. Among other things, the current version of connman fixes bugs integrating with mobile modems (3G) and Bluetooth. (the e17 BT module causes a segfault on resume from suspend if you restart connman, and if you don't restart connman then it doesn't read Bluetooth as turned on)

danke. :)

Cool beans... I'll pull it from testing and see whether it works with the new applet that was written... we may need to create a bodhi-specific version of the package that depends on the other app, will let you know.
