Do you have two operating systems on your computer? If so it sounds like one is set to UTC and one isn't.

I don't, and actually the drive that I'm using was crispy and fresh out of the package just for Bodhi.  I know, it's odd...and the thing was, with 4.0.0, the clock was correct.  For me, I really don't mind that much, but just found it odd.

sudo apt-get install ntp

I can't remember if I tried this or not, I feel like I did, but I'll give it another shot.

Thank you Jeff and Stefan!

Good idea. Swami has a GUI for changing date / time - so hopefully I have that read for our next release.

Hey Jeff - is this the way to go?

For some reason, my jump to 4.1.0 made my clock go wonky and running

sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
didn't seem to fix it.  My bios clock looks ok, etc.

Hello Joni,

If you look under the section titled "Supported, but hardware is to old for Unity" your hardware is listed and states that with a "lighter" desktop you should be ok.  Directions for testing, etc are lower on the page.

Hope this helps!

Update regarding my Xruns...I was suspecting a bottleneck in my system's performance due to running a powerful system but using integrated graphics...now that I have installed a video card, like magic, my XRuns are gone!

I was able to play guitar through Guitarix for roughly an hour last night with nary an XRun!

There is some chance that my XRuns were related to the segfault issue, but I'm not thinking so as I wouldn't be actively moving/resizing windows when the XRuns would occur.

Now onto digging into setting up a full workstation - thank you everyone for the feedback and advice!
