HakerDefo, try leaving dbus module loaded, the timing might affect results (won't affect immediately, but will be in effect next session etc.)
I used menu > Desktop > Virtual > Set Virtual Desktop and set the backgrounds for each. somehow enlightenment_remote was able to -desktop-bg-list and showed me all four. Maybe even without setting it this way, dbus and the command might be able to show you something at that point. -

oh no, if hakerDefo is stumped...
try to set the bg with feh, a different image this time just for testing, on the command line, followed by the conky command like you did previously. Use urxvt with transparency -- again it's a pseudo transparency BUT the reason it's here is, it should show the new image in the bg thanks to feh, to check if feh worked out ok. lxterminal isn't applicable here as i think that's not faked afaict
maybe try and repeat the scenario a second time but with composite loaded
Third thing would be, what video hardware do you have. Last time I've had this happen was with a graphics card called yomamasoold or something... -

so Elw3 you've always had to run this whenever you've had to switch modes, kind of like the last step that X forgot? -

DO let us know if you were ever able to resolve the stylus orientation issue though, that it works in either portrait or landscape mode. Which version of e17, what Bodhi release, etc. -

Your Esetroot is missing a parameter, whether it's centered, stretched, or mirrored. Try it on a terminal, a transparent urxvt or Eterm (sorry lxterminal fans) for best results before you paste the complete and corrected command. Esetroot -h on any terminal lists all.
