In Topic: How to : Fix touchscreen on the archos 9 or any eeti ps2 touchscreen

I've done the same test with Bodhi 2.0 (Kernel 3.5) and the touchscreen doesn't work too.
(Install of the latest eGalax says there is no PS2 mouse)
In fact, I think that the issue is deeper than xorg configuration or other serio_raw tuning.
I add some debug trace in touchkit.c and the ps2_command doesn't detect the touchscreen, so it falls in a generic PS2 mouse.
I tried some options like i8042.nomux=1 (to only see one PS2 device in addition to keyboard), but it doesn't makes it detected.
I hope I will be able to make it works, because the Enlightment Tablet theme of Bodhi is beautiful.
If somebody has got ideas to help me investigate the subject, please feel free to propose.
Yves
Dear Yves!
I am happy that I am not the only one still hoping for getting Bodhi Linux running on an Archos 9.
I tried a lot of playing with the xorg.conf but nothing worked. Also the init script tricks did not work.
I am not a linux pro, so i cannot give any advice. However, in case you make *any* progress, please
post it here,a s I will follow you and maybe I can then (help to) solve the next problem...
With the current problems, described in my long posting on the wiki (which is maybe gone in between, I could
not find the posting again?), I am really out of ideas.
bye, Thomas.
