Just installed Libreoffice 4 on my Windows Vista environment moments ago and it looks decent, then hopped back to Bodhi and noticed that I had actually installed Libreoffice 3.5 on Bodhi 1.4.0 earlier on instead of 4 so I cannot do a apple-to-apple comparison, still coming to a point when I am happy with Bodhi 1.4.0 running on my decade-old Acer Aspire 3002NLCi with a Sempron 280+ processor and little RAM i find that what I already have i.e. this is good enough.. -

kili, on 31 December 2011 - 08:50 PM, said:Sure! I Downloaded Xfburn-0.4.3.tar.bz2 placed it onto my desktop, opened my terminal and the fist command used was "cd Desktop", second "tar -xjvf xfburn-0.4.3.tar.bz2" for extraction i guess.third "xfburn" and final command was "apt-get install xfburn" witch started the process of installing it. I personally think that there are better ways of doing it, but that method was the one that worked for me. For the record i was running as root, if that has any importance.
Hope it helps! Linux can be tricky for first time users.
Downloaded the iso for Libreoffice and was looking at installing the Microsoft Office replacement on several machines. However, not a single of my machines have a DVD-R burning software although I recall having an OEM copy of the Windows-based InCD sitting around somewhere in an old CD compilation. I found this post useful following the reply by kili, installed xfburn onto Bodhi, typing this reply while the Samsung external DVD writer burns the composition at under 3.0x speed -

I was on the same track as you this morning, until I got stuck when I discovered that.. the Fujitsu LH530 machine that I was working on.. somehow or rather objected to me burning the Bodhi Linux ISO onto the CDR that I loaded onto the disc drive. I stayed on with my windows, and I am sorry about that, windows is fine it is just.. it is just.. Windows. -
