I have only a hdmi output on my netbook. So that is the only way to use dual screen setup.

Arandr works fine for this setup.

There are several web sites that host old games. For old dos/amiga/apple: http://www.myabandonware.com/

To run dos games:

$ sudo apt-get install dosbox

$ dosbox

Z:\>mount c ~\<path to your dos games directory>

Z:\>c:

Use the dir (list files) and cd ( C:\>cd <name directory> and C:\>cd .. to go out of the current directory) commands to navigate to the game you want to play. Start the game by entering the <game name>.exe file and press enter.

You could try rdesktop instead of NoMachine if it is suficient. Or try Bodhi first without NoMachine and check if the same issues occur to be sure.

$ sudo apt-get install gufw

Executed in terminology installs the ubuntu firewall with gui.

After installation it is located in menu -> Applications -> Preferences .

Important to setup if you're using public wifi.

Never started the Windows 10 it came with (big privacy and security leak!). Booted straight into the BIOS (FN + F2), changed the settings to boot from USB, disabled all intel settings, rebooted, pressed F12 to boot from USB, repartioned and installed Bodhi. So far everthing works out of the box. I use full hd encryption and firewall.
