#103563 Bodhi Linux 4.1.0 Released

Posted by wimc on 11 March 2017 - 05:18 PM

Love 4.1.0-64 so far also, even got my parents using it, think it kinda scares them a bit though.

#101439 A big thank you to...

Thank everyone also. Will be downloading/installing 4.0.0 very soon. Then I'll need to update my signature.

I have no idea how many distro's I've tried over the years. Bodhi has been quite stable and its a keeper, not sure when I'll be able to donate, for now and always have a link to Bodhi on my website (links page).

#100262 Introduction of sorts

Posted by wimc on 16 August 2016 - 02:50 AM

Details in profile, but for those who do not view profiles, I am a 51 year old male (born November 1964), though its been a little over 2 years being a member, thought I would share something.

As you can see in my signature using Bodhi (no other OS), and I am quite satisfied with Bodhi, runs smooth and fast.

Thank you for that. Plus looking forward to 4.

#100089 Grub showed and killed it

Posted by wimc on 31 July 2016 - 04:39 AM

Went ahead and installed Bodhi 3.2.1 64 bit on my main computer, no other OS.

That said, did the same thing as above post, no grub showing either.

Thank you ylee and Randy. This is solved (can not mark both posts as solved).

#100070 Grub showed and killed it

Posted by wimc on 30 July 2016 - 09:25 PM

Installed Bodhi 3.2.1 legacy again, since its the only way to learn.

Did remove the #, which I did before, but changing other settings, thats where it went wrong before.

After following linked website precisely this time, now grub does not show.

#99951 Bodhi 3.2.1 startup

Posted by wimc on 26 July 2016 - 03:34 PM

Before res was 1024x768, and no other options for higher, just 2 lower res.

Now have lots of options, more so having it at 1920x1080 currently.

Back to topic: despite a bluetooth error that pops up, all is normal, as far as startup goes.

#84228 [Solved] Legacy version

Posted by wimc on 10 July 2014 - 11:55 PM

uname -r
3.8.0-19-generic

lspci -nnk | grep -i net
02:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ [10ec:8139] (rev 10)
Now connected, using only Bodhi 2.4.0 (PAE version), completely removed Windows XP.

All it took was a new network card.
