Introduction of sorts

16 August 2016 - 02:50 AM

Details in profile, but for those who do not view profiles, I am a 51 year old male (born November 1964), though its been a little over 2 years being a member, thought I would share something.

As you can see in my signature using Bodhi (no other OS), and I am quite satisfied with Bodhi, runs smooth and fast.

Thank you for that. Plus looking forward to 4.

[Solved] Power Management Settings

30 July 2016 - 09:55 PM

I searched and found nothing in regards to power management, unless of course I missed it some where.

Is there a way to disable it (do not understand how it works in Bodhi)?

Thanks

Grub showed and killed it

29 July 2016 - 08:39 PM

Meaning, grub showed, so I went to this post and followed it, well, I goofed and killed 3.2.1 non-pae. Restart only for the computer to shut off. Now the question, is there something on the keyboard that I could use, or starting over (fresh install) would be best bet.

Formatted hard drive and scanned for errors (no OS at the moment). Above sentence will be used next time.

Just a side note: other computer I used to test 3.2.1 (32 bit) first, grub didn't show.

Couple of annoyances

27 July 2016 - 11:13 AM

Post about a couple of annoyances that have no affect how Bodhi 3.2.1 actually runs, but...

1. When in a folder, see there is a description/name of the folder while in it, is there way to remove that.

2. Is there a way to speed up the loading process, when turning on computer or restart.

Thanks
