Unable to change screen resolution on Packard Bell Easy Note

04 November 2017 - 10:40 PM

Hi, I have just installed Bodhi Legacy on my laptop Easy Note ( Packard Bell, RAM: 437 Mo, Intel® Celeron® M 1500 MHz). When it starts to boot screen resolution seems fine, but once the system finally enter, screen resolution change to the very basic 640x480.

Based on this page I tried the command 'xrandr -q' and I get:

xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
Screen 0: minimum 640x480, current 640 x 480, maximum 640 x 480
default connected 640x480+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   640x480 0.00*

To know the graphic card, I did that:

lspci | grep "VGA compatible controller"
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. CN400/0/PN880 [S3 Unichome Pro] (rev 02)

For information, when I start I get this message (during the boot) before to arrive on the desktop:

[ 13.8966371] via ircc 0000:00:11.0: can't enable device: BAR 13[io 0x1000-0x107f] not claimed

Thanks for your help
