  1. Sorry for the late reply... I had some minor problems with E on my initial install. E19 crashed once, and this happened, the background. But it's never returned after I upgraded, so I can't recreate the error at all. Also, I still had to enter my password on first boot, even though I had chosen to automatically log on. Second boot was fine. Was kinda frustrating though, because LightDM doesn't honor the keyboard layout chosen in the installer (I use the Colemak layout, while the keyboard was set to QWERTY). Also mysteriously missed my ~/.bashrc file... couldn't tab-complete in terminal. Dunno if this was all a mistake of mine, or something that just went wrong on my machine. Would have to reinstall to see if I get the same problems again.
  2. Don't think this should happen :
  3. EFL 1.8.0 and E18

Does EFL 1.8.0 include the below packages? Because they'll be removed with a dist-upgrade: The following packages will be REMOVED: ecore edje eet eeze efreet eina eio embryo emotion eobj ethumb evas Will test later in a VM, pressed cancel for now on my main system
  4. Nvidia 325 driver and composite = black windows

Also noticed that all popups just show a black box, rather than a box with text. Hovering over the nm-applet icon in systray, an E17 notification popup and for example hovering over the "=" button in galculator, as shown in the picture below shows this behaviour. Note that this only happens when I have Composite enabled with OpenGL rendering. No problem using software rendering.
  5. Nvidia 325 driver and composite = black windows

Sorry for the late reply, haven't been home to do some more testing or post the screenshot. While I rebooted this time with the 325 driver, I had the default theme selected instead of detour (my fav). Seems the black windows only happen with 2 of the themes: A-Bodhi-Nostrum A-detour-Bodhi But, as you can see below, enabling Engage and composite at the same time gives me a black bar. This however, has nothing to do with the themes - happens with all of them. I remember I had this bug last year I believe as well.
  6. Bodhi 2.x.y Software Request Thread

Hey Jeff, Could you update PCManFM? Current version is 1.1.0 from 2012-10-31. New version released last month (2013-08-12). Software Name: PCManFM Requested Version Number: 1.1.2 Link to Software Homepage: http://wiki.lxde.org/en/PCManFM Link to Source Code: http://wiki.lxde.org/en/LXDE:PCManFM_build_and_setup_guide#Get_the_Source_Code Link to Debian Package: None, daily packages here: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-dev/+archive/lubuntu-daily/?field.series_filter=precise Please also include updated menu-cache and libfm. Cheers, - Irv
  7. Nvidia 325 driver and composite = black windows

I'm aware of the difficulties that may arise while using other PPA's. I've been on the xorg-edgers PPA for quite a while though, and only experienced problems once they moved onto the nvidia 325 driver. So I'm just wondering if it's a bug in E17 / composite module. I noticed people saying saying the same thing on different forums here and here. The driver is out of beta stage since August 8th btw.
  8. 2.4.0 with E17.4 Discs

When enabling the 'Independent' repository, synaptic or apt gives a 'Signing Key Problem'. Need to use apt-key to receive the keys for it. Don't know if this is normal behaviour or not, but feels a bit strange imo.
  9. 2.4.0 with E17.4 Discs

Also noticing systray wonky on these... Network manager icon falls half off of the systray, but less so on detour. Scaling seems to be way off when there are more icons in the systray. Other than that, I had a segfault on first boot. Hasn't reappeared, so I guess it was just one time.
  10. When trying to install nvidia 325 (from xorg-edgers), enlightenment produces black windows when using the OpenGL compositor. Either turning off the composite module or resetting it (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Home) returns it back to normal behaviour. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm running up to date Bodhi, Enlightenment 0.17.4 and kernel 3.10 series. Nvidia 319 works fine here. - Irv
  11. E17.4 and EFL 1.7.8

Yeah, same here (I downgraded to 0.17.3, testing still enabled). Timmy_L is on the stable repo and is also getting the message.
  12. E17.4 and EFL 1.7.8

Missing Engage, evry-websearch and evry-mpris modules here. Didn't need to nuke my .e folder, auto login still works fine for me. I'm using desktop profile, and splash hasn't worked for a while for me - so it's disabled.
  13. That Bodhi 2.4.0 Thread

FWIW: I've been running the 3.9 kernel for the past month (since it came out), and all of them have been stable for me so far (up to 3.9.4 now) - no troubles!

  15. Welcome to the forum, Patrick! To change the keyboard layout, I would suggest you to follow the blue coloured note at the bottom of this page: http://wiki.bodhilinux.com/doku.php?id=language_-_change_system_default In short, this involves: Loading the keyboard module (in Settings -> Modules), The keyboard 'flag' may already appear on your shelf, or you can find the keyboard entry in the menu: Settings -> All -> Input -> Keyboard Add your keyboard configuration, delete the old one, and hit Apply. Hope that fixes it for you! You may unload the Keyboard module after you've set it. - Irv
