  1. Exterminator Problem

Bounty has been paid, $15 for Bodhi and $15 for Ylee who fixed the problem, thx for the work. Maybe we can stimulate development this way, and support the dev's
  2. Exterminator Problem

Works like a charm, thanks Ylee. And yes, I'm serious about the bounty. How about 50/50 for you and the bodhi linux project? If that's ok for you I'll send you a pm for the paypal info.
  3. Exterminator Problem

Hi Jeff, I just want to remind you of the exterminator issue, as on this laptop it is also not working, does not show a list of programs. I would like to post a bounty of $30 for fixing the bug, as a form of directed support..
  4. Module/gadget issues

I did the Xephyr thing and took the complete output: http://pastebin.com/WAL3v8pc Some notes about the output: until line 360 it is only output from enlightenment starting line 360 to 499 I tried to add places gadget to the hover layer, looking at the background. The places gadget moved to the background layer by itself. line 500 to 508 I opened pcmanfm to hide the background. The gadgets I tried to place and move disappeared. So these are the things wich mainly happen the same when I just try it in the normal desktop. I have no idea if this data is of any use for anyone to pinpoint the problem I am having. To debug these things on myself is waaaay out of my leage, so I hope someone can help me.
  5. Module/gadget issues

1, After some experimenting I found that the forecast only works here if the location code is with 2 or 3 zeroes (GRXX0046 or GRXX0004 for example) and it does not work when the code has less zeroes (GRXX6818 fro example) even if this is a legitimate location code for weather.com. 2, I tried uploading a picture with ephoto, but this also keeps uploading forever and never finished. Reinforcing the firewall theory. I will come back to this issue when I am on another network. 4, Thanks, works although I have to use smplayer for this as aplay doesn't work for me.
  6. Module/gadget issues

Is there a way to get some output from these things? Like running them from terminal? I have no idea how that would work for the gadgets..
  7. Module/gadget issues

I don't know if I am firewalled here, the wifi is not mine. And the owner is not around now. I will test when i get to a place with another internet connection. There are no particular gadgets wich trigger the crash problem. I found out now that when I try to add a gadget to the hover layer while looking at the background (but with the hover layer turned on) sometimes the gadgets move to the background layer instead of the hover layer. Also, when I have a window open (so I don't see the background) and I try to put gadgets in the hover layer, crashes are less often, but the gadgets disappear during the first or second move. (they also disappear from the list) I don't know if this is relevant: I made a keybinding win+return to show/hide gadgets, with no action parameters, I assume this is to toggle the hover layer?
  8. Module/gadget issues

Hi all, Trying some things with the Moksha modules I encounterd the following things: 1, The forecasts module doesn't give forecasts, I configured it to the location I want following the instructions, but nothing happens, also after restarting Moksha. Maybe it fails to find the internet connection to fetch the data? 2, The share function of the shot module is not working, the dialog says it is uploading but nothing happens. (maybe the same problem as #1?) 3, Moving gadgets on the hover (key toggle) layer makes Moksha crash/restart (?) the changes don't stay. Making this layer unusable. 4, More a question/request than an issue, can I let the alarm module play a track? I would like to use it as a wakeup alarm. Any ideas, pointers, etc would be appreciated
  9. Wifi issue on fresh install

I got hold of a usb wifi adaptor, wich by chance worked out of the box. So I could do the simpler instructions you gave earlier without having to transferring the files. The internal wifi of the netbook is working now, thank you Hippytaff!
  10. Wifi issue on fresh install

Is there a way to download the files and install later offline?? I currently don't have access to a wired connection..
  11. Wifi issue on fresh install

I just re-installed Bodhi 3.1.1 32bit on my HP mini 210 (I fried the harddisk, hence the reinstall) The problem with the wifi is different from other wifi problems here in the forum I think. The network manager shows no option to turn on wireless, like it has been disabld by a hardware switch. The hardware switch (wich is also the f12 key) has its indicator light turned off, also pressing it doesn't make it work. On my previous install of Bodhi the switch was working. Also now running puppy linux from a usb drive, wifi and the switch are working properly. Where I am now I have no acces to a wired connectitch to puppy, on, so to check the internet I have to switch to puppy, further complicating trying to fix it. If someone has some pointers where to start, what info is needed etc, I would be thankful. Greetings, Jeroen Edit: I ran some commands Charles suggested in another topic, here are the ouputs: joenie@flapflop:~$ sudo lshw -short [sudo] password for joenie: H/W path Device Class Description ================================================== system HP Mini 210 /0 bus 3660 /0/0 memory 1MiB BIOS /0/a memory 2GiB System /0/a/0 memory 2GiB SODIMM /0/e processor Intel(R) At /0/e/f memory 512KiB L2 c /0/e/10 memory 32KiB L1 ca /0/e/0.1 processor Logical CPU /0/e/0.2 processor Logical CPU /0/100 bridge Atom Proces /0/100/2 display Atom Proces /0/100/2.1 display Atom Proces /0/100/1b multimedia NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1c bridge NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1c/0 em1 network RTL8101E/RT /0/100/1c.1 bridge NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1c.1/0 network BCM4312 802 /0/100/1d bus NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1d.1 bus NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1d.2 bus NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1d.3 bus NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1d.7 bus NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1e bridge 82801 Mobil /0/100/1f bridge NM10 Family /0/100/1f.2 storage NM10/ICH7 F /0/100/1f.3 bus NM10/ICH7 F /0/1 scsi0 storage /0/1/0.0.0 /dev/sda disk 500GB ST500 /0/1/0.0.0/1 /dev/sda1 volume 46GiB EXT4 /0/1/0.0.0/2 /dev/sda2 volume 419GiB Exte /0/1/0.0.0/2/5 /dev/sda5 volume 953MiB Linu /0/1/0.0.0/2/6 /dev/sda6 volume 418GiB Linu /0/2 scsi4 storage /0/2/0.0.0 /dev/sdb disk 3999MB SCSI /0/2/0.0.0/1 /dev/sdb1 volume 3813MiB EXT /1 power AN06062 joenie@flapflop:~$ lspci -nnk 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx DMI Bridge [8086:a010] Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: agpgart-intel 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:a011] Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: i915 00:02.1 Display controller [0380]: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:a012] Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] 00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family High Definition Audio Controller [8086:27d8] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel 00:1c.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family PCI Express Port 1 [8086:27d0] (rev 02) Kernel driver in use: pcieport 00:1c.1 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family PCI Express Port 2 [8086:27d2] (rev 02) Kernel driver in use: pcieport 00:1d.0 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family USB UHCI Controller #1 [8086:27c8] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: uhci_hcd 00:1d.1 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family USB UHCI Controller #2 [8086:27c9] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: uhci_hcd 00:1d.2 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family USB UHCI Controller #3 [8086:27ca] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: uhci_hcd 00:1d.3 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family USB UHCI Controller #4 [8086:27cb] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: uhci_hcd 00:1d.7 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family USB2 EHCI Controller [8086:27cc] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: ehci-pci 00:1e.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge [8086:2448] (rev e2) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge [0601]: Intel Corporation NM10 Family LPC Controller [8086:27bc] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: lpc_ich 00:1f.2 SATA controller [0106]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family SATA Controller [AHCI mode] [8086:27c1] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] Kernel driver in use: ahci 00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family SMBus Controller [8086:27da] (rev 02) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:3660] 01:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. 12. Low volume at boot

Hi friendly peoples, Everytime at boot, the volume on my laptop is low. In the mixer everything is at full volume, but still the sound is low. If I open pavucontrol, it shows under the output devices tab, that built-in analog stereo is at 49% percent. If I put it to 100% the sound is normal. Is there somewhere a config file I can edit, so this is at 100% at boot? Jeroen
  13. Keyboard Module

Just my observation here in Greece: a lot of people switch a lot of times daily, sometimes multiple times per minute! So a gui tool/keybinding is indispensible for a lot of people..
  14. Suggestions for taking Openstreetmaps offline on Bodhi

In main menu>applications>education there are two entries "marble" of wich the upper one opens the mobile version.. In a terminal, "marble" opens the 'desktop' version, and "marble-mobile" opens the mobile version.
  15. Suggestions for taking Openstreetmaps offline on Bodhi

Ok, I like marble, actually I use it all the time. Thing is, it has an desktop version and a mobile version, I like the mobile version better, but when I add it to the ibar and use the icon on the ibar it opens the desktop version.. Anyone know a solution?
