  1. Web Browsers Crashing

A recent system update cured my Web Browser issue. Firefox had quit working. (see the other Web Browsers post in New User Support).
  2. Web Browsers

Well after last nights system update Firefox is now working again. Guess if you are patient things sort themselves out.

ZOM, give Firefox a try. Install it through the Bodhi App Center that is in the menu. Firefox was the only browser I could get to work on my old system. Good luck!

Hi The waiter, tried changing the gtk theme in menu, settings, settings panel, application theme and Firefox still crashes. Tried numerous themes but no luck. Any other suggestions?? Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies. Here is the error when launching Firefox in Terminoloy. Running Bodhi 4.1.0 the app pack version. Firefox was the only browser that would work in the past. 7. Web Browsers

Hey, been while since I have been on my old desktop and just updated my system. Not sure what changed but now Firefox is crashing and that was the only internet browser that was working for me. Running the app pack version of Bodhi. Sad to say but had to use a Windows Machine to get on the forum. Any ideas how to get a working web browser??? Terminolgy gives the same crash scenario.. Thanks!! Norm321
  8. Gotcha, good to know. I need to stick with Firefox so no big deal. Thanks Jeff!
  9. I applied the Moksha Arc Dark theme and I liked the looks of it. I had to go back to the Moksha Green one though. When I was using Firefox and trying to update one of my eBay listings some of the text boxes were not showing the text. If you clicked directly under the text box you could see the text highlighted but it wasn't in the text box. Not sure what's up with that?? Just thought I would pass on the information in case anyone else sees this behavior.

Hmmmm, could it be that I am still using the old kernel?? I'm still using 4.0.0 because all is working well and didn't see the need to upgrade. Remember I still consider myself a Newbie. Should I upgrade the kernel to 4.1.0?? Please give me your input and thoughts. Thanks much!!

Just discovered that Midori crashed in one of the links in the Appcenter. I was looking at the Themes and when I clicked on the 1st here link as shown below Midori crashes. The 2nd here link is ok. Haven't had any trouble with Midori for the Appcenter. Apparently there is something in the link that makes Midori crash. "For details on applying this theme after installation you will need to follow the steps here and here." Here is the error information. Error Signal Information: midori was interrupted by the signal number 4. Output Data: There was no output Error Logs: There was no error message
  12. As a follow up, will the new theme eventually be available in the Bodhi Appcenter to make it easier for the users who aren't as comfortable using the terminal(terminolgy)to install the new theme? Thanks!
  13. Thanks Jeff, I think I will leave the kernel as is since all seems to be working well. I will try the new theme though. Thanks again!!
  14. I see that Bodhi 4.1.0 has been released. I also see that existing 4.0.0 users can manually install it according to what was posted on the release info page as seen below. "Existing Bodhi 4.0.0 users already have the bug fixes incorporated into these ISO images, but they will need to manually install the newer kernel and theme if they wish to utilize them." Can someone explain how to go about this? Thanks!!

Did a bit of testing to see if I could get Midori to work. I discovered that if I went into the Midori Menu then Preferences and opened the Network Tab and set the Identify As setting to Midori or a couple of the Custom ones it would load the Google start page. Two tabs come up when starting Midori the Bodhi Quick Start Guide page and Google. But then if you search for something in Google Midori crashes immediately. Tried to change some of the other network settings with no luck. Not sure if this is any help but thought I would share the information.
