Live-cd mode - how to change keyboard layout?

Question

Hi.

Sitting here and tries to install Bodhi on an semi old Dell Latitude D620, and figured when Install (using "something else") I just cannot enter forward slash. Yes I'll find the correct key eventually, but - How do I change keyboard layout.

After a search on the net I got two answer:

http://www.bodhilinux.com/w/switching-keyboard-layouts/

This one here tell me that I need to add a keyboard shortcut to get to that dialog box. No - I intend to do this only once after install.

http://www.bodhilinux.com/w/configuring-your-new-bodhi-system/

It says:

Go to Main menu > Settings > All > Input > Keyboard to open the Keyboard Settings dialog box

The problem here is that there is no submenu called "All".

Hi, Just found a way.

Right clicked on shelf --> contents --> Add Keyboard"

Then I had access to Keyboard settings from shelf, so I open that and selected Norwegian keyboard. Closed the Keyboard settings and then removed the Keyboard from shelf.

Fixed :)

Glad you found a way out.

That wiki needs some updates as the menu structure had a change for the latest releases.

The Settings entry now gives direct access to a few selected items (like themes and wallpapers), for all other options you have to browse the settings panel.

Enjoy,

Charles

Hello Charles,

Off topic for this post, but which wiki page?  I'll take a look if you direct me - thanks!

@oblio

The second link in the OP first post.

Settings >All does no longer exist because staff modified several menu entries not long ago.

Enjoy,

Charles
